Members of the Boardman Spartan Marching Band played the National Anthem and a fight song on Thurs., June 16 at 5:30 p.m. to help celebrate the groundbreaking of the new band shell they will soon call home at Boardman Stadium.
Boardman residents Bill and Karen Veri donated $150,000 to fund construction of the ‘Home of the Spartans’ band shell were on hand for the groundbreaking. The band shell should be completely constructed by the beginning of August, just in time for football season.
The next phase of the Stadium project includes a Wall of Honor, ticket booths, and a building that would include restrooms, concessions, and locker rooms.
