The Boardman Rotary Club will held its 49th Annual Oktoberfest crafts and arts show in Boardman Park on Sun., Sept. 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The annual Oktoberfest is the local Rotary’s largest single fundraising event.
An expected 150 vendors fill the park for the one day event, that over 10,000 people attend each year. Aside from traditional arts and crafts, the show includes vendors offering jewelry, baked goods, personal products, and clothing; and a food court packed with everything from sausage sandwiches and fries to giant cinnamon rolls.
Proceeds support several area projects and programs, including the Boardman Rotary Scholarship program that provides local graduates with funding to an accredited college, university or trades program; and organizations, such as the Boy Scouts of America Great Trail Council; and non-profits such as Easter Seals and Project MKC.
Admission is $5’person and children 12 and under are free.
Limited free parking is available for patrons on the west side of the park, which is accessible through the Southern Blvd. entrance and there will be limited free parking at the Southwoods Heart Center Parking Lot, 250 DeBartolo Place that is just south of Boardman Park. A free shuttle service from this lot to the Oktoberfest will be available. |
