Meeting on Mon., Mar. 23, the Boardman Township Board of Trustees approved a 2026 operating budget of $25.372 million.
      The budget includes $10.658 million for the police department, $6.280 million for the fire department, $4.405 million for the road department, $629,907 for the office of planning/zoning and $1.345 million for administrative expenses.
      The Boardman Township 2025 operating budget included $4.797 million for the road department, $10.145 million for the police department, $5.760 million for the fire department, $592,924 for planning and zoning and
      The budget also includes expenses of $78,394 for salaries of township trustees and $36,824 for the salary of the fiscal officer.
      The Board of Trustees also approved an expense of $48,866 for the purchase of 15 sets of protective body amour for officers to replace outdated amour. Upon purchase, the township will be reimbursed $13,814 from the Ohio Law Enforcement Bulletproof Vest Program.
