Meeting on Monday, June 29, the Boardman Board of Education approved a resolution to place a tax levy on the November ballot for current expenses.
According to the resolution, the school districts seeks “renewal of an existing $4.647 million tax levy for the purpose of current expenses of the School District (formerly for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the School District), for five years, which, if approved, would be first collected in calendar year 2028.”
The resolution notes “at an election on November 8, 2016, the School District’s voters approved the renewal of all of two existing levies in excess of the ten-mill limitation in order to raise the amount of $4,646,975 each calendar year for a period of 10 years for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the School District.” |
