The Boardman Rotary Club’s 48th annual Oktoberfest will be held Sun., Oct. 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Boardman Park.
      The Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest was first held in 1978 as a celebration of the Boardman community and its residents. The event has grown into the area’s largest one-day arts and crafts festival, attracting vendors and visitors alike from surrounding states.
      The festival offer visitors the chance to sample a variety of foods, purchase seasonal wares from craftspeople and learn more about area non-profits.
      The annual Oktoberfest is Boardman Rotary’s largest single fundraising event. Proceeds support several area projects and programs, including the Rotary Scholarship program that provides local graduates with funding to an accredited college, university or trades program; as well as organizations including the Boy Scouts of America Great Trail Council; and non-profits such as Easter Seals and Project MKC.
      Admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free.
